Novice Swim Program
The Novice Swim Program is an introduction to competitive swimming for keiki under 17 years of age that runs from February to May 2026.
Registration: February 20, 10a-4p (and at the first practice, February 24 starting at 3:15p). A swim test will be administered during the first practice. Registration fees will be collected on February 24. Payment must be made in exact cash only.
Swim Test Requirements:
- Keiki 8 and under must be able to swim 25 yards, each, of front crawl and back crawl.
- Keiki 9 and over must be able to swim 50 yards, each, of front crawl and back crawl.
Cost: The cost to register is $30 per participant, with a discounted fee of $20 for additional children from the same household. Payment must be made in exact cash only.
Practice Schedule: Practices begin Tuesday, February 24 and will be Tuesday-Thursday, 3:15p-4:15p

- March 28: Laupahoehoe Swimming Pool
- April 18: Kohala Swimming Pool
- May 9: Pahoa Community Aquatic Center
