Summer Fun Program 2026

Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce its 2026 Summer Fun Program! The program provides keiki with recreational opportunities at locations across Hawai'i Island during the summer break. During Summer Fun, keiki can enjoy sports, music, crafts, dance, indoor and outdoor games, and excursions.

'Ike Kai Summer Session 1: June 8 - June 26

'Ike Kai Summer Session 2: June 29 - July 17

Youth will learn ocean safety and awareness, explore tide pools and marine life, practice wa'a traditions, kilo, learn mo'olelo about our kai and 'āina, swim, surf, bodyboard and snorkel, all at Richardson Ocean Park in a hands-on, outdoor setting. 'Ike Kai gives participants real ocean experience while teaching respect for our 'āina and kai, building confidence, teamwork, kuleana, and leardership through, active guided learning each day.

Open to Participants Ages 10-14. Participants limited to one session per summer.

Registration opens Tuesday, April 28, 2026, 7:45 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Richardson Ocean Center, 2355 Kalanianaole Ave. *Spaces are Limited*
